levels to help build their versatility and readiness. Workshops are taught by festival performers and
industry pros who want to share all they've learned!

10:00am - Traditional Polynesian Dance w/ Ka'ena Level: All Levels Description: Want to get your feet wet in moving your hips and embracing your sensuality? Performing since the 1960’s, Ka’ena brings her traditional Hawai’ian culture through Polynesian Dance! This workshop focuses on isolations and moving to the rhythm to entice your audience. Learn to control your body isolations both through stillness and while walking. Don’t miss your chance to learn from a living Burlesque Legend! What to bring: loose scarf or fabric to wrap around hips, loose blouse optional
11:35am - Connecting Movement to Emotions w/ ACTin' Up! Level: Intermediate Description: This workshop has 3 main focuses: being able to recognize how movement makes us feel, being able to express our emotions through movement and being able to express emotions to others through movement. We work through 3 to 4 exercises that will get us to discover how universal emotions are. What to bring: Yoga mat or pants anything they are comfy moving around
1:30pm - Stop Moving... Please w/ Mx Pucks A'Plenty Level: All Levels Description: Moment is stillness are important. It gives the audience time to take you in, photographer to snap a good shot of you, and a moment for you to breathe, collect yourself, and absorb the energy from the audience. In this workshop we're going to slow it down and take the time to be seen and to breathe. What to bring: Clothing to move in, heels or no heels, notebook for taking notes, water
3:30pm - Beginner Chair Class w/ Bea Lissima Level: Beginner Description: Learn the basics of chair work with Bea Lissima. This workshop will focusing on basic positions, transitions, building strength, and putting moves together. This class has a choreography component. Mobility aids are welcomed in this class, and needs will be tailored to each participant. This class is for beginners looking to add chair choreography to their burlesque routines. What to bring: Water.

12:00pm - Have Pasties Will Travel w/ Coco Rosé Level: All Levels Description: Are you ready to take your pasties on the road but don't know where to start? Looking for ways to avoid that checked bag fee? Traveling overseas, find out the do's & don'ts to make your trip seamless when the new travel laws? Register for Have Pasties Will Travel, in this class, International Traveling Showgirl Coco Rosé will show you the steps to getting booked as well as tips for packing. What to bring: Notebook, Pen, list of Question you may have, Open Heart
1:35pm - Costuming & Prop Making on a Budget w/ Kuya Atay Level: Beginner Description: From a self taught journey and visual arts background, Kuya Atay has dove deep into burlesque using his cosplay knowledge, his affinity for nostalgic references, and love for mask making. The world of costuming and prop making is expansive and there’s more than one way to approach our desired end result. Where do we begin creating? How do we achieve this on a budget? What tools and skills do you have that you can apply? In a lecture format workshop, we can troubleshoot and discover our pieces into stage ready burlesque beauties. What to bring: Things to consider bringing, one piece of prop/costume/idea that is currently being worked on. Notebook and pencil for easy notes!
3:30pm - Fast Track: Accelerate Your Burlesque Journey w/ Joy Rider Level: All Levels Description: Professional tips for burlesque project planning, goal setting, and accelerating your journey as a performer! In this lecture-style workshop, students will learn how to identify and achieve their burlesque goals. Topics covered will include: project planning, goal setting, funding/resources, mentorship, competitions, festivals, and more! What to bring: Note-taking materials
